Northwestern California University School of Law
Northwestern California University has been in existence as a distance law school for over 38 years. It is accredited by the Committee of Bar Examiners of the State Bar of California. Prior to 2020, distance education law schools were prohibited from becoming accredited, and were operated as “registered schools.” When the State Bar modified its rules to allow distance schools to seek accreditation, NWCU immediately began the accreditation process.
The Committee of Bar Examiners of the State Bar of California granted Northwestern California University full accreditation on August 21, 2020.
